Ireland Trail Running + Wellness Retreat - Level II

View Profile

Run, Reflect, Renew

In addition to the daily runs, immerse yourself in deeply enriching experiences that connect you to Ireland's ancient wisdom and natural beauty. At Brigid's Garden, participate in a workshop focused on Celtic spirituality, where you’ll explore the rich symbolism and seasonal cycles of this sacred space. In Clifden, rejuvenate with a traditional seaweed bath, allowing the mineral-rich waters to nourish both body and soul, a time-honored practice for relaxation and healing. Finally, on the mystical island of Inis Mór, join a votive meditation led by a local Celtic priest. As you run through the island’s ancient stone paths, you’ll reflect and offer intentions in a sacred ritual, merging movement, meditation, and nature.

LOWER STRESS + FIND FLOW WITH MINDFUL RUNNING

Mindful Running is this retreat's defining experience. Your dedicated Retreat Leader will lead you through practices, on and off the trail, that are designed to help you discover how to run with more ease and flow. And if you're an experienced trail runner, you'll take your running to a whole new level of efficiency and joy. Connect more deeply with nature, yourself and other women through this powerful practice that provides you with skills and insights to maximize the stress-reducing effects of running.

Testimonials

"If you're looking for a way to get to do what you love, which is run, and not worry about a thing, these retreats are for you! I ran Ireland and loved every second of it. Our retreat leader, Liz, was wonderful and always took care of us. We had to think about nothing - only enjoying ourselves. I left feeling refreshed and in awe of our experience."

It's for You If:

This retreat is a Level II. This means it’s suitable for you if:

  • You are curious about how mindful running can help you relax, find more flow and efficiency on the trails
  • You’re comfortable running six days in a row. Our shortest run is 30 minutes, but most are around 3 to 4 hours (including hiking sections, water breaks and photo ops).
  • You must be able run at least 8 miles on the road to do this retreat. We take walking breaks throughout the runs, but most of the distance is covered at a run pace.
  • You’re OK with running on trails with loose dirt, rocks and some muddy sections. These trails feature a variety of surfaces, not all of which are easy to run on, but your retreat leader will provide tips and techniques for navigating the terrain and pacing yourself in this hilly environment.
  • You're OK with some exposure to cliffs or other high terrain
  • You’re game for running in the rain (don’t worry about what to wear; we provide you with a comprehensive packing list).
  • You have (or are willing to acquire) trail running shoes and a hydration pack.

Travel Mindfully to Truly Unwind

This retreat can be the kind of vacation that truly transforms your state of mind and body, if you're open to it. Our retreats are designed to support you as a whole woman, not just a runner. That means you can expect free time to yourself, away from the group. It means that there are wellness experiences included in your retreat package to support your nervous system reset. This is your chance to heal from the effects of stress and focus on doing the things that energize you, inspire you and feed your soul.
