FAQ
1.What are the trails like in Thailand?
While some of our routes will be on paved paths, we'll mostly run on trails. The trails on this retreat are a mix of single-track and wider trails and unpaved roads along ancient rice terraces. Many of the trails are foot paths connecting the ethnic minority villages in the region, and are still used by the local people. We will take care not to disrupt their daily activities.
2. Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions?
Yes! On your intake form, provide us with the details of your specific dietary needs, and we pass this information along to the restaurants we eat in during the retreat. If you have food allergies or an extremely restricted diet, let us know and we will discuss the options for accommodating those needs with you.
3. Is a Visa required for Thailand?
Citizens from the United States, United Kingdom, and most European countries are entitled to a 60-day Visa-free stay when they enter Thailand via an international airport or a listed checkpoint from neighboring countries. Passport holders must be visiting for tourism purposes only and must have a confirmed return ticket to show they are flying out of Thailand within 60 days of entry; open tickets do not qualify.
4. Is it OK for me to come by myself?
Yes! Most of our retreat participants travel alone. You may book a private room or a shared room package, in which case we'll pair you with another solo traveler in a room with two beds.
5. How fit do I need to be to participate in this retreat?
We recommend that you have the fitness to comfortably run at least 8 miles, whether that's on roads or trails. You'll be on your feet around 2 to 3 hours a day in variable weather conditions. So good health and some running fitness is required.
6. I'm coming with a friend; can we share a room together?
Certainly! We can assure you and your friend will be roommates (when you each book a shared room package).
7. How do you qualify your run guides?
We partnered with professional running guides that hold all the necessary certifications and emergency response required to safely guide in Thailand. Your safety and comfort is always our top priority. So please know you'll be in expert hands on the trails!
8. I want to stay longer in Thailand beyond the retreat; can you help me find things to do?
Yes! It's a long way to travel to Thailand, so we're pleased to offer you two extension packages: arrive a day early and stay an extra night at the Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, or after the retreat, stay three nights at the luxurious Tubaak Resort right on the beach. . . or you could choose both!
