  • Are comfortable running 5 miles. We will spend 2-3 hours on trail each day including time for mindful running clinics, breaks for water, photos, and taking in the views.
     
  • Embrace a sense of adventure and enjoy trails that may include some roots, rocks, or uneven terrain.

Introduction to Mindful Running

Learn how to run more mindfully to gain efficiency and longevity. Your Retreat Leader will conduct three mindful running clinics covering form, pace and mindset. Ensuring  proper alignment in the body will make gravity do more of the work. This reduces the muscular force involved with running so it feels easier and less strenuous on muscles and joints. You'll practice changing stride length, cadence and tempo on various types of terrain. Then put the pieces together to achieve the ultimate trail running experience. 

Our runs will be at a conversational pace. We will start the run together but quickly spread out on the trail so that each runner can run a pace she is comfortable with. We will regroup for clinics, snacks and photo ops.  With the support of our professional running guides, you can truly relax and enjoy the running without having to navigate or worry about logistics.

Wellness Beyond the Miles

This retreat isn’t just about running—it’s about wellness in all forms. You’ll join a pre-run physical therapy session with Dr. Sargent that’s designed to prevent injuries and enhance your runs during the retreat and beyond. In the afternoons, unwind with a private yin yoga class to release tension and improve flexibility. Enjoy a guided mountaintop meditation after a scenic gondola ride, and cap off your final day with a refreshing cold plunge to leave you feeling rejuvenated beyond belief. From mindful movement to intentional restoration, you’re sure to leave this retreat feeling your absolute best.
