FAQ
1.What are the trails like in Vietnam?
While some of our routes will be on paved paths, we'll mostly run on trails. The trails on this retreat are a mix of single-track and wider trails and unpaved roads along ancient rice terraces. Many of the trails are foot paths connecting the ethnic minority villages in the region, and are still used by the local people. We will take care not to disrupt their daily activities.
2. Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions?
We make every effort to accommodate your dietary preferences and restrictions. However, there are occasions when we may face limitations. You can notify us of your food restrictions in your intake form.
3.Why is this retreat more expensive than some other group trips in Vietnam?
This retreat is more than just a group running tour; our retreat leaders are experts in mindful leadership so that they can support you on a journey that may be personally transformational. Plus, in addition to the professional running guides, premium accommodations, wellness experiences and excellent meals, you can select from pre and post-retreat resources that help you integrate new mindfulness habits into your life.
4. Is a Visa required for Vietnam?
A visa is required for Vietnam and may incur a fee at your own expense. Your passport will need to be valid for at least 6 months after your dates of travel. We provide additional information after you book your trip.
5. Is it OK for me to come by myself?
Yes! Most of our retreat participants travel alone. You may book a private room or a shared room package, in which case we'll pair you with another solo traveler in a room with two beds.
6. How fit do I need to be to do these runs?
We recommend that you have the fitness to comfortably run at least 8 miles, whether that's on roads or trails. You'll be on your feet around 2 to 3 hours a day in variable weather conditions. So good health and some running fitness is required.
7. I'm coming with a friend; can we share a room together?
Certainly! If we have a room with two beds available, we can assign you and your friend together as roommates for the duration of the retreat.
8. I want to stay longer in Vietnam beyond the retreat; can you help me find things to do?
Yes! It's a long way to travel to Vietnam, so we're pleased to offer you two extension packages: arrive a day early and stay an extra night at the Silk Path Hanoi, or after the retreat, stay three nights at the luxurious TIA Wellness Resort . . . or you could choose both!
9. Can I pay in installments instead of all at once?
Yes! Please submit a request for a payment plan to one of our retreat travel specialists by emailing [email protected] or calling 970-930-1295.
